Freetobook Partners with the B&B Association

We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with the B&B Association, becoming their exclusive booking engine and PMS partner.

For us, this partnership makes a lot of sense, and when we look at what the B&B Association stands for, we recognise a lot.

We’re coming together because we believe in many of the same things: supporting independent accommodation, championing fairness and helping small businesses get the tools, knowledge and voice they need to succeed.

Supporting the businesses behind the stays

The B&B Association has been representing and supporting independent B&Bs, guest houses and small accommodation businesses for more than 20 years.

The Association gives independent accommodation providers a collective voice, keeps members informed about issues affecting their business and works to ensure that the interests of smaller, independent businesses are represented within the wider travel industry.

That really matters to us.

Independent accommodation businesses are a huge part of what makes the hospitality industry so special in the UK. They offer something distinctly different from larger hotel groups and chains, often built around the people who own and run them, their local knowledge and the personal experiences they create for their guests.

But, as you know, running a property isn’t always easy.

Owners are navigating changing guest expectations, rising costs, and a booking market where Online Travel Agencies have a significant influence.

Having the right support and someone in your corner can make a real difference.

A partnership built on shared values

This is where we see such a strong fit between the B&B Association and freetobook.

We share a belief that independent accommodation businesses should have a fair chance to compete, grow and succeed.

For more than 27 years, we’ve been building booking technology to help accommodation providers make the most of the opportunities available to them. That includes our global free booking engine and PMS, developed to help level the playing field and give independent properties access to the technology they need to compete online.

We’ve also consistently challenged unfair practices within the travel industry, standing up for independent accommodation businesses and their right to compete on fairer footing.

The B&B Association shares that commitment to fairness and to giving independent accommodation owners a stronger voice. We’re both passionate about helping smaller businesses succeed on their own terms, and that shared belief is a big part of why this partnership feels like such a natural fit.

We’re looking forward to working together to support independent properties and help them thrive.

What will the partnership mean?

We want this to be an active partnership, rather than simply putting two logos together.

Together, we’ll be looking at ways to provide freetobook customers and B&B Association members with useful, practical support; from webinars and educational content to events, resources and member benefits.

We’ll share our knowledge around technology, direct bookings and the changing online booking landscape, while continuing to listen to the challenges independent accommodation businesses are facing.

We’re also looking forward to working alongside the Association on the issues that matter to its members and supporting its work to champion independent accommodation.

Ultimately, we want to help more independent properties take control of their bookings, build stronger direct relationships with guests and run their businesses with confidence.

Staying true to supporting independent businesses

We’ve always believed that technology should work for the people running the business, not the other way around.

That’s why we’re particularly pleased to be working with an organisation that shares our belief in the value of independent accommodation and the people behind it.

We’re looking forward to getting to know more B&B Association members, learning from them and finding new ways we can support them.

Independent businesses supporting independent businesses. We think that’s a partnership worth getting behind!
